Job Title: Training Specialist

Pacific Cove Properties is a BC-owned and operated property management and development company providing rental accommodation to almost 3000 families and individuals in communities throughout British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan.
We are looking to hire an experienced Training Specialist. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is required to demonstrate and teach critical Company information to new hires and existing employees, ensuring key industry practices are clearly understood and carried out.
What you are great at doing:
-Travelling within B.C. to provide training to new and existing staff throughout the province
-Conducting new hire orientation training
-Implementing new operational training as required
-Conceptualizing, developing and implementing new processes, procedures and programs
-Revising training programs or materials to match the needs of the business
-Possessing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of key positions and staying up to date with industry trends in order to understand the audience and adapt training as it is appropriate and relevant to the business and industry needs
-Tracking and creating reports to capture organization’s training metrics
-Performing other training duties as assigned
What you need to be successful:
-Associates degree or certificate in a relevant field
-1-2-year(s) of corporate training experience
-Fluent in the English language, both written and verbal
-Proven leadership and people skills
-Proven skills in developing and maintaining effective consultative relationships with business partners internally and externally
-Strong attention to detail in order to prepare comprehensive documentation, postings, etc.
-Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and work with minimum supervision
-Solid working knowledge of applicable HR legislation including provincial and federal legislation including Employment Standards of BC, Canada Labour Code, Personal Information and Protection Act (PIPA), Employment Equity and Human Rights
-Solid knowledge of computer applications Microsoft office; familiarity with MS CRM systems an asset
-Intermediate computer skills, with previous experience working with Microsoft Office: Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
